Jewish Family Services: Part-Time Licensed Clinician
The JFS Partnership for Behavioral Health program is looking for a licensed clinician to guide children/youth and their families on their healing journeys and help them achieve success and break the cycle of adversity. The clinician will work closely with Community Health Workers to identify and schedule children or youth clients for counseling services on site or by telehealth. The program is the result of a community and non-profit partnership and will ultimately offer weekly counseling in four different neighborhoods, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families while helping to transform the community.
The LCSW/LPC serves as the counselor for the program. Many of the children and youth have suffered Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) including trauma. The focus of your work will be trauma-informed counseling tailored to each child to mitigate the harm of ACEs, prevent problem behaviors, and help them build safe and supportive relationships.
The ideal candidate will be an LCSW/LPC with 2-4 years experience working with children and youth. Trauma informed care experience is a must. Previous experience in community programming or social justice or diversity programs a plus. The program is 21-28 hours per week, however additional hours may be available.
