Volunteer

NAMI Central Virginia is always looking for volunteers! You can volunteer to help with our programs, staff community events or assist us with administrative work. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the form below.

Programs

Dedicated volunteers make NAMI Central Virginia’s programs work. Each program requires facilitators with lived experience to connect with members of the community. For a list of downloadable application forms for presenters, please click here.

Community Events

NAMI Central Virginia often has a presence at various community events and health fairs. Volunteers are needed to staff the booths, distribute literature, and answer questions the general public may have of us.

Special Events

There are a handful of special events that volunteers can get involved in throughout the year. Some of the events include:

  • The Richmond Women’s Healthy Lifestyle Expo hosted by CBS 6
  • The Annual NAMI CVA Awards Banquet
  • The Annual NAMI CVA Golf Tournament
  • The NAMI CVA Summer Picnic
  • The NAMI CVA Holiday Party

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is a group of volunteers that oversee the operation of NAMI Central Virginia. Board members are elected for limited terms, and new board members are nominated each year. Click here for a nomination form.
