Support Groups

Online Support Groups Available – In-Person Programs Temporarily Postponed

Due to the state of emergency, the increasing need for social distancing measures, and our desire to keep everyone as safe as possible, NAMI CVA will be canceling all in-person groups and presentations. In the meantime, NAMI CVA is currently offering online Family Support Groups and Connection Support Groups.

To participate in one of these online groups, review the schedule below and find the group you are interested in on our calendar. If you questions or concerns, contact our helpline at 804-285-1749. Please leave a voicemail, and calls will be returned in a timely fashion.

 
The schedule is as follows:
 
NAMI Connection Support Group – peer-led group for adults living with a mental health condition
Monument Ave: 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month, 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. 
Mechanicsville: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. 
Grove Ave: 1st & 3rd Monday of the month 6:30 – 8:00 P.M.
1st For Young Adults age 18-30: 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month 7:30 – 9:00 P.M.
 
NAMI Family Support Group – peer-led group for caregivers of an adult loved one with a mental health condition
Lakeside: 1st & 3rd (& 5th) Wednesday of the month, 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. 
Bon Air: 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:30 – 8:00 P.M.
Mechanicsville: 2nd & 4th Monday of the month, 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. 
 
Family Support Group for Parents of Youth & Adolescents – for those with a loved one 18 & under
Last Thursday of the month, 6:00 – 7:30 P.M.
